Fajr festival of visual arts holds awards ceremony online

The 12th Fajr Festival of Visual Arts announces winners online due to coronavirus pandemic.

The Fajr Festival of Visual Arts has announced winners of its 12th edition online in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Annually organized by the Visual Arts Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the festival announced the winners on Wednesday.

 Here is the full list of winners:

  • The illustration section: Zahra Ashouri, Pejman Baghinzadeh, Neda Basharkhah
  • The caricature section: Ali Mivehnejad, Marzieh Tajizadegan, Hossein Rahimkhani
  • The ceramic section: Kazem Ebrahimi, Maryam Neyestani, Parvin Abbasi
  • The calligraphy section: Amir-Abbas Nasiri, Shahrbanou Najafi, Mostafa Abedini
  • The painting section: Erfan Bibak, Farzad Chegini, Sarvenaz Emtiazi
  • The sculpture section: Elham Shokri, Hossein Nakhaee, Hossein Takzare
  • The photography section: Pejman Molaee, Gholmareza Yazdani, Seyyed-Mohsen Peyravinejad
  • The graphic design section: Meysam Namdar, Mohammad-Hossein Aqajani, Seyyed-Mehdi Mir-Ahmadi
  • The miniature section: Samaneh Doustinia, Sara Sholevar
  • The new art media section: Sajjad Daadpour

The closing ceremony of the festival, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, was not held, the Visual Arts Office announced.

Both the catalog and the certificate of the festival will be given to all the winners.

A selection of top works has been purchased by the Visual Arts Office.
